New Estates and Estate Adoption
A home is not just the property that we live in, but the streets and ecosystem that surrounds it. For too many people here in the Cramlington and Killingworth constituency, there are unacceptable delays in the delivery of even the most basic infrastructure.
I am taking your stories and experiences to the housing developers, local authorities and to Parliament. We need urgent changes to ensure this widespread issue is finally addressed, and your voice is crucial in helping secure that change.

Actions so Far
This is an issue I get many enquiries on, and many of you have kindly taken the time to fill in my survey. These are some of the actions I have taken to address the things you have raised.
- Led Westminster Hall debate
- Spoke in Parliament
- Survey to residents
- Meetings with developers
- Co Sponsored Alistair Stathern MP’s Housing Estates Bill
- Wrote article for The Journal
- Supported individuals with casework on specific issues
- Pushed Housing Minister Matt Pennycook for update
- Asked Housing Minister about consultation
- Secured grit bin provision for a number of developments
These actions really are just the start. I will continue pushing locally and in Parliament to ensure the voice of people in Cramlington and Killingworth constituency is heard, and housing developers are held to account.
