Are you a parent, carer or family member with experience of the SEND system?

I have heard from many through my surgeries, or through contacting my office about the challenges which the current SEND system presents. I know that the current system doesn’t work for children, for families or for schools, and for too many it is a battle to get the support that is needed.

I want to ensure a system where every child can achieve and thrive. I want to hear your views and experiences to support me in working with the government on reforming the system and ensuring that it truly delivers for children.

What is your experience with the SEND system?

How do you feel about your experience with the staff in SEND? Does the level of training of staff meet your child's specific needs?

How do you feel about the accessibility of SEND support?

What should happen before children arrive at school, is there more you would like to see government doing to support families earlier? And if so, what would that be?
